Since 2011 we’ve been producing printed communications for Cornell AAP, a world-renown college offering a triptych focus of studies in architecture, fine arts, and regional planning.
We were tasked by the Department of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University to experiment with new ways to present an array of distinguished speakers for this events poster. We concluded with a concept that blends origami folding pattern with color planes that challenges your sense of depth. Smaller posters are distributed on campus to promote individual departmental events.
Oversized magazines for Cornell AAP. Each issue features a fluorescent color on the cover and table of contents, and in various highlight spots inside. The short cover reveals the TOC on the side, inviting you to open and explore the articles inside.
PRESS KIT FOLDER
Press Kit design for the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University. AAP’s logo is foil stamped in gloss white on the front cover, creating a subtle yet elegant visual effect. Inside, an iconic photograph of Milstein Hall’s curvaceous window is printed in grayscale to provide a nice surprise beneath the inserted collaterals.
Every year we are tasked to conceive fresh ideas for AAP’s Dean holiday card. Due to the usual time-constraints nearing the holidays, we produced design concepts that are idea-driven, maintaining a standard mailer format, and using images only when necessary.
We worked closely with the communications team to plan, wireframe, design, prototype, and develop the website. This year-long process resulted in a user-friendly, information-rich, responsive, accessible, and always up-to-date website. This redesign enables spotlights on campus facilities, student work, faculty profiles, and acclaimed events, while fulfilling ample academic requirements from the university and the three departments.
