Kiki Katahira

Kiki Katahira is a creative director, designer and consultant with tried-and-true experience in branding, publication design, merch design, and artist management. Notable clients include Arita Now, Prefectural Office of Saga 佐賀県庁, Shinkenchikusha 新建築社, KANEKA, Japan Foundation 国際交流基金ニューヨーク, Japan Society, Guggenheim Museum, SPIDERHORSE, and The Beatbox House. Kiki is originally from Osaka and is a lover of all things simple and beautiful, rooting her design practice in deep traditions.

Through Kudos MGMT, Kiki manages SPIDERHORSE, an award winning beatbox duo (Chris Celiz and Gene Shinozaki), who have been creating groundbreaking music for eight years together and expanding the capabilities of the human voice in the most innovative and exciting way.

Kiki was previously a designer at 2×4 Inc, DKNY, Harry N. Abrams, and Stefan Sagmeister where she managed projects for art, architecture, fashion and cultural clients worldwide. Kiki holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA from Osaka University of Art in Japan. Kiki’s work has received accolades from the Art Directors Club, Tokyo Type Directors Club, NY Type Directors Club, ComArts, HOW Magazine, PRINT Magazine, and a first place Adobe Design Achievement Award.
