Web Developer
Overview
- Kudos Design Collaboratory, an international design and development firm, is looking for a Digital Designer for contract work. Our primary clients include museums, nonprofits, and academic institutions.
- We are passionate about creating excellent branding, websites, apps, data visualization, editorial design, packaging, motion graphics, exhibitions, and site-specific interactive installations in the U.S. and abroad.
- We believe good design is engaging, relevant, and timeless. This is achievable through mutual collaboration, experimentation, good typography, user-friendliness, and attention to details.
Responsibilities
- Code website designs (typically in Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision) by creating custom themes in WordPress.
- Deploy the coded design onto a staging site under SSH Linux environment.
- Implement feedback (either bugs or new requests) during the website review process.
- Be proactive in finding technical solutions to problems (e.g. Google, Stackoverflow, or asking someone).
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in developing sites with PHP and MySQL/MariaDB
- Intermediate knowledge on how WordPress themes work and hook systems is preferable
- Proficiency in CSS and jQuery is a must
- Experience in SCSS
- Experience with gulp workflow
- Experience in Git version management system
- Experience with REST APIs
When
- As soon as possible. Full-time preferred, freelance options available.
Where
- This is a 100% remote position; however, strong preference for EST time zone.

Creative Coder
Overview
- Kudos Design Collaboratory, an international design and development firm, is looking for a Creative Coder/Technologist for contract work. Our primary clients include museums, nonprofits, and academic institutions.
- We are passionate about creating excellent branding, websites, apps, data visualization, editorial design, packaging, motion graphics, exhibitions, and site-specific interactive installations in the U.S. and abroad.
- We believe good design is engaging, relevant, and timeless. This is achievable through mutual collaboration, experimentation, good typography, user-friendliness, and attention to details.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of interactive museum exhibition kiosks
- Have experience in app development, i.e. iPad app, touch screen interfaces, etc
- Collaborate with the creative design and development teams
- Participate in the full lifecycle of creative development; including conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and validation
- Work quickly through multiple iterations from client feedback
- Develop and maintain internal documentation
